Phyllis Jean Lenoir 65, Indianapolis, died January 27, 2005. She worked for the Indiana State Department, and retired after 27 years as a production worker for RCA. She also volunteered at Wishard Hospital as a home companion. She received awards for her volunteer work and was an active member of the Womens Auxiliary Post 249. She was the daughter of Mary Lou Taylor and James Williams, born January 18, 1940 in DesMoines, Iowa. Phyllis' early years were spent in DesMoines, Iowa, Denver, Colorado and Peru, Indiana. In 1961 she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Phyllis was united in marriage to William Lenoir, Jr. in 1964, and to this union came six sons. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, with calling there from 11 a.m. until service time -and from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lenoir, Jr. Survivors include her six sons: Michael R. (Edwina) Lenoir, Edwin T. (Nita) Campbell, Cornelius (Stephanie) Campbell, Leslie W. (Brenda) Lenoir, William Lenoir III (Ronda), and Mark E. Lenoir; brother, Terrance H.
