-->Peggy Jean Kimbrell Davis SPARTANBURG, SC-- Peggy Jean Kimbrell Davis, 77, of 117 Spring Valley Drive, died Friday, October 24, 2008, at her home. Born July 19, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Myrtle Berry Kimbrell. She was a retired employee of Spartanburg School District 7 and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jack Davis; a daughter, Tena West and her husband Steve; a grandson, Ashley West; and a great-granddaughter, Katelin West, all of Lyman; three sisters, Mary Garren, Tobatha Tillotson, and Teri Kimbrell, all of Boiling Springs; and three brothers, Eugene Kimbrell of Boiling Springs, Vernon Kimbrell of Chesnee, and Henry Clarence Kimbrell of Campobello. She was predeceased by a sister, Jo Anne Seay; and a brother, Johnny Kimbrell. Cryptside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum conducted by the Rev. David B. Smith. The family will receive friends following the service at the cryptside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or to a charity of one's choice. The family is at the home.
