FAIRFIELD -- Paul Vincent Levesque, age 71, died June 6, 2012 at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, in Waterville with his family by his side. He was born in Fairfield on Sept. 1, 1940, the son of Leon Alcid and Muriel Katherine (Lobier) Levesque.He attended Lawrence High School and on June 12, 1965, married Louise Douglas at Sacred Heart Church in Waterville. Over the years, he was employed by several snack companies and worked for Frito-Lay as a detailer from 2002 to 2012, Tom's Snacks Co. as a sales manager from 1981 to 1990 and for Circus Time Potato Chips Co. as a route salesman from 1964 to 1981.Paul was a very social person with many hobbies and interests, including being a member of the Fairfield Country Riders snowmobile club, watching NASCAR, playing cards, driving his little blue Mazda, giving his grandkids lawn mower rides, snowmobiling, camping and watching air shows. The times he cherished the most were those spent with his grandchildren and visiting family and friends.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Louise (Douglas) Levesque; a son, Chris Levesque and wife Donna of Waterville; a daughter, Tammi Moen and husband Luke of Abingdon, Md.; two sisters, Joanne Hopkins and husband Nelson "Bud" of New Port Richey, Fla., and Kathy Sandy and husband Raymond of Stafford, Va.; three brothers, John Levesque of Benton, Peter Levesque and wife Ginny of Oakland and Jimmy Levesque of Fairfield; a granddaughter, Veronica Levesque of Waterville; and four grandsons, Jonathon Levesque of Waterville and Mark, Joshua and Jacob Moen, all of Abingdon, Md. Paul was predeceased by two brothers, David and Leon "Bimbo" Levesque; and a sister, Annette Cloutier.A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 16, at the First Baptist Church of Fairfield at 1 p.m. with pastor Steve Donohue presiding.
