Untitled PAUL A. THERAULT 1930 - 2009 Paul A. Therault, 79, of 575 Bridge Rd., Northampton, MA passed away Monday at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital from complication of a stroke suffered in 1994. Born in Warwick, RI Feb. 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Henry and Irene (Belanger) Therault. He was educated in Warwick schools. John was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Coast Guard. After the war he lived in Hope, RI before moving to Orlando, FL in 1959, where he was a captain on a private yacht. John later worked as a carpenter at Walt Disney World for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He lived in Framingham, MA before moving to Northampton seven years ago. While in Florida, he was a member of the Orlando Moose Lodge #766. He enjoyed fishing, golf and wood working. He was a real people person that enjoyed life and had an infectious laugh. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Stella (Pelchat) Therault; his two sons, Patrick Therault of Pensacola, FL and Michael Therault of Orlando, FL; his three brothers, Steve Therault of San Angelo, TX, Charlie Therault of Houston, TX and Gerry Therault of Yuma, AZ; his two sisters, Marie Lessard of Providence, RI and Martina Poulson of Newman, GA; his step-children, Maureen Turner of Burlington, VT, Patricia Weiss of Chapel Hill, NC, Timothy Finnerty of Providence, RI and John Finnerty of Plantation, FL; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Peter; daughter, Theresa; brother, Bob; and his sister, Beatrice Bouchard. A Memorial Funeral Mass for John will be held Monday, Nov. 16th, 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Northampton. Burial at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Stroke Assoc., 1 Union St. #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183. The Ahearn Funeral Home in Northampton is in charge of arrangements.
