Paul Louis Verreault, 75 OLD ORCHARD BEACH -- Paul Louis Verreault, 75, of 136 West Grand Ave., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born on March 19, 1939, in Lewiston, the son of Joseph and Yvonne (Lessard) Verreault. He went to school in Lewiston. On May 23, 1959, he married Claire Domingue. They had five children, Mike, John, Steve, Deb, and Jeff, whom Paul loved and treasured along with his eight grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew, Kaitlin, Mollie, Jillian, Cameran, Alan, and Thomas. Paul worked for Diamond Machine of Lewiston after which he became his own businessman owning many successful properties including several in Old Orchard Beach and Saco for the last 39 years. Whether wintering in Florida or spending the summers in Maine, he enjoyed a good game of golf. His joy in going to the family camp in Holeb was unprecedented. He spent many an hour patiently untangling fishing lines for the younger visitors at the camp, and he was always ready for a rousing ATV ride. Hunting and fishing were two of his favorite pastimes, and later in life, just taking a short sleep in the sun under a tree while waiting for the deer to come by was a favorite activity. Paul loved life to the fullest and succeeded in fulfilling his life to the very end, continuing with his daily life until he was called to a better one. Besides his wife of Lewiston, he is survived by five children, Mike and his wife Wanda of Emerald Isle, N.C., John and his wife Kim of Saco, Steve and his wife Maureen of Scarborough, Deb of Saco, and Jeff and his wife Candace of Saco. He is also survived by his siblings, Lucille Ledoux, Eugene, Theresa and her husband Rene Lagace, Normand and wife Corrine, Roger and his wife Sylvia; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Robert, Marcel, Richard, Gertrude Heidelman, Reginald, and Rene. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at St. Margaret's in Old Orchard Beach. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Paul Verreault to support cancer research and patient care at: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O.
