Paul Ervin McClure CHESNEE, SC-- Paul Ervin McClure, 87, of 713 Fairfield Street, Chesnee, formerly of Landrum, died Thursday, September 30, 2010, at Valley Falls Terrace. He was the son of the late Alender and Hattie Pruitt McClure. He was a member of Arrowood Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He was a retired contractor and served in the US Army during World War II. He is survived by two sons, James McClure (Joyce) of Landrum and Dean McClure of Spartanburg; two daughters, Nancy Bradley (Clyde) of Wellford and Carolyn Reid (David) of Landrum; five brothers, James McClure of Taylors, J.C. McClure, Bill McClure, Andrew McClure, and Ray McClure, all of Landrum; a sister, Mary Green of Landrum; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; three step-daughters, Linda Horne, Patsy McClure, and Mable Phillips; and a special friend, Marguerite Thompson. He was predeceased by two spouses, Rosie Lee Wolfe McClure and Myrtle Adams McClure; a brother, Carrol McClure; two sisters, Grace Barnett and Clara Mae Perry; and a daughter-in-law, Nona McClure. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Daniel Godfrey. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
