Paul Edward Thomasformerly of VestalPaul Edward Thomas, 80, formerly of Vestal, went to be with the Lord, Saturday morning, January 31, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by an infant son, Randy Scott Thomas, in 1949; and his wife, Constance L. Thomas, in 1989. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Stephen Gendron, Binghamton; three grandsons, Shawn and wife, Julia, Gavin and wife, April, and Brandon Gendron; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Morgan Gendron; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of the Pinecrest Ministral Fellowship. He was a retired employee of IBM Endicott, with 33 years of service, and a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army Air Corp. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking and fishing.Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal, where services will be conducted by his daughter and son-in-law. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, where full Military honors will be accorded by the Broome County Veteran Memorial Association. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 1:30.
