->BELGRADE -- Paul Charles Quirion, 39, of Belgrade died unexpectedly due to an automobile accident Friday, Aug. 15, 2008.He was born July 6, 1969, in Waterville, the son of Richard and Gertrude (Patrie) Quirion. Paul was educated in Waterville schools.He enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking, as he built many intricate model ships. Paul worked as a machinist for several years.Paul was predeceased by his mother, Gertrude; and a sister-in-law, Sherry.Surviving, along with his father, Richard, of Oakland, are a brother, Keith Quirion, of Belgrade; three sisters, Cheryl Quirion and her husband, Peter Griffioen, of Australia, Ann Quirion, of Rome, and Shirley Gorman and her husband, Ray, of St. John, New Brunswick; a special niece, Valerie Quirion; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.At the family's request, there will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Winslow. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.Arrangements are under the direction of Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville.
