Patrick Edward Of Horseheads, passed away peacefully, on July 22, 2006, at age 75, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his mother, Mary Clancy, Elmira; former wife and good friend, Mary O'Leary, Elmira; daughter, Patricia (Keith) Donohue; granddaughter, Emily, all of Rochester Area; stepdaughter, Kathy (Eric) Savage; grandchildren, Jennifer and Benjamin, all of Magnolia, Delaware; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Dennis O'Leary; sister, Joan Thiel; and grandson, Owen Patrick Donohue. Patrick is a Korean War veteran (Army, 24th Division) earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He retired in 1996 as owner and proprietor of the restaurant, Snoopy's Dog House, after 25 years of serving Elmira-area patrons. Patrick will dearly miss his two best army comrades, Vincent Trainor and Ted Zaparzynski ("Zap"). He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted father, "PaPa", and friend. Those wishing may make a donation in Patrick's memory to Southern Tier Hospice, 11751 E. Corning Rd., Corning, NY 14830. At his request services were private and he was interred at Sts. Peter & Paul's Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements were entrusted to the Kalec Funeral Home.
