Patrick Joseph Waters, 86, of Lakewood passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin. Visiting will be on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at the Church of the Assumption R.C. Church, New Egypt. Burial in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery will follow. Patrick was born in Elizabeth on March 21, 1923. He lived in Brick before moving to Lakewood. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was a member of the VFW Post 8867 and American Legion, both of Brick. Surviving are his children, Patrick and his wife Sally, Michael and his wife Laura, Kathleen and her husband Richard Teller, and Barbara Eklund; his sisters, Theresa Waters, Margaret Cordes and Helen Walano, and six grandchildren Amy, Katherine, Colleen, Kevin, Daniel and Emily.
