February 21, 2007 Patricia Devin Callahan, 74, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Perryville Rd., Chittenango, died Wednesday at her home after a short illness. Mrs. Callahan was born March 22, 1932 in Syracuse, the daughter of Mary and Matthew Devin. She was raised in Syracuse, moving to Chittenango in 1952. She was a graduate of St. John the Baptist Academy and later graduated from a nursing program at Central Tech, becoming an LPN. She worked for several years at Crouse Hospital and Oneida City Hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Chittenango. She was one of the founding members of the Empire Paint Horse Club, a lifetime member of the American Paint Horse Assoc. and a member of the Cherry Valley Carriage Assoc. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Francis W.; three sons, Michael, James (Kathy) and Terry (Toni), all of Canastota; a sister, Joanne Mace of Chittenango; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece; two nephews and several cousins. A funeral mass will be celebrated 12 noon Saturday at St. Patrick's Church, Chittenango. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chittenango. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday (today) at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango.
