FITCHBURG -- Palma (Russo) Ashey, 91, a former longtime Fitchburg-Leominster resident, died Monday, Feb. 27, in Marlborough Hills Healthcare, after a long illness.Her husband of 45 years, Joseph J. Ashey, died in 1990.She leaves one daughter, Mary Louise Sperling, and her husband, Barry, of Alexandria, VA; and one grandson, Devin Sperling, serving with the U.S. Airforce in England. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.She was a former member of St. Camillus de lellis Parish in Fitchburg.She was born in Leominster, on August 16, 1920, a daughter of the late Paolo and Sebastiana (Cicala) Russo.ASHEY -- Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
