KERR Muriel Kathleen (nee Hill) Passed away peacefully at the Columbus Residence, Vancouver, B.C. on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Muriel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 22, 1907. At an early age, she moved with her family to Toronto and subsequently to Montreal where she met and married G.H. Gordon Kerr. They raised their three daughters there until 1950 when they were transferred to Vancouver with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Muriel was predeceased by Gordon in 1981, a sister Marian Hill Fraser, and her brother James Jefferson Hill. She is survived by her sister Marjory Hill Chesney, daughters Kathy Jackson (Gerard), Judy MacKay (Chris), Margy Brown (Tom). Muriel took particular joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Laurie Speakman (James), Lisa Brown, Susan Plasteras (Tom), and Tim Brown (Shelley) as well as her great-grandchildren Matthew, Wendy and Amy Speakman; Emma, Sophie and Georgia Plasteras; and Annie and Claire Brown. The family is very grateful for the extraordinarily loving, competent care our Mother received from the staff at the Columbus Residence during her several years there.
