ALLEN, MILLARD WAYNE, 84, of Louisville passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at Green Meadows Nursing Home in Mt. Washington, KY. Wayne was born to the late Edward and Lyda Allen in Corbin, KY. He was formerly a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, but most recently he attended Fisherville Baptist. Wayne served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post #200, and Philip Swigert-Middletown Masonic Lodge #218. His dedication to the Masonic Lodge also included his involvement with the Scottish Rite and Kosair Shriner Temple. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Joanne Keeling Allen; sisters, Malvrie Casey and Janet Rogers. Survivors include his daughters, Janice Barrett and Donna Epley (James); sons, Michael Allen (Tina), Scott Allen (Missy), and Brian Allen (Kim); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation for Wayne will be held 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman and Sons, 10600 Taylorsville Road-Jeffersontown, with a Masonic Service to be performed at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
