O'MALLEY, Michael Sylvester (Uncle Vester) 4th Degree Knights of Columbus After a very lengthy and valiant cardiac history, complicated this time by pneumonia, Michael passed away in the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa on the morning of March 23, 2006 comforted by the company of his sister-in-law Kay. Michael was predeceased by his loving wife Barbara (Scharf) O'Malley on January 28, 2005. Son of the late Charles Malley and Clara White. Survived by brother Charlie Malley (Catherine) of New Brunswick. Predeceased by brother William O'Malley and sisters Betty, Rose, Mary, Marion and Patsy. Michael is also survived by brothers-in-law Wally Scharf (Kay) and Robert Scharf (Jean) all from Ottawa. Michael will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, relatives, colleagues and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Monday, March 27, from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 320 Olmstead Avenue, on Tuesday, March 28 at 11 a.m. folllowed by interment at Notre Dame Cemetery. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
