Melinda Joyce-Morris 1950-2013 It is with great sadness that the family of Melinda Joyce-Morris announces her death on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013, at the age of 63, after a courageous battle with cancer. We experience great joy and assurance knowing that she is at perfect peace in the arms of her Saviour. Born in Lark Harbour, NL on September 20th, 2013, she was the wife of Stan Morris of Lincoln, NB. In addition to her husband, Stan, Melinda leaves behind her daughters, Andrea Sullivan (Glenn) and Crystal Joyce-Berto (Terly); grandchildren, Alyssa, Abigail, Olivia, Luke and Sophie; brother, Harold Wheeler; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Melinda was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary (Park) Wheeler, first husband, George Joyce Jr., and brother, Bernard Wheeler. Melinda was the office manager of a local fish plant in Lark Harbour for many years. Always one to perservere over any hardship, she returned to school following the closing of the plant and went back to her first interest, nursing. Melinda moved to New Brunswick to be with her family and was a Licensed Practial Nurse at York Manor Nursing Home until her retirement in 2010. Melinda's love of Christ and the love of her family were the most important things to her. She was actively involved in ministry, especially music, at St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour and at Lincoln Baptist Church in New Brunswick. Visitation will be held at St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour, NL on Sunday, November 24th, 2013 from 7-9 pm and Monday, November 25th from 1-2 pm with a funeral service beginning at 2 pm. Interment will be in the St. James Anglican Church Cemetery with a reception to follow in the church hall. In addition, a memorial service will be held at Lincoln Baptist Church, Lincoln, NB, on Saturday, November 30th, 2013 at 11 am. A time of fellowship will follow at the church. Pastor Steve Ranni will officiate both services.
