YORK, Mary Carolyn Patch, 96, died Thursday, October, 27, 2005, after several years of declining health. Carolyn was born August 6, 1909, in Tampa as the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Pearl Nash Patch. She was preceded in death by her missionary husband, Theodore H. York Sr. She was a Southern Baptist Home Missionary for 31 years, both preceded and followed by years of volunteer church work. Until her mid 80's, she served as Associational WMU Director in Citrus County Florida. Mrs. York is survived by her three children, Alice York Davis and husband, Harold Edward Davis, of Tampa; Elizabeth York Coggins and husband, Leroy Coggins, of Cary, N.C.; and Theodore Hughes York Jr. and wife, Vivian Canady York, of Raleigh, N.C.; her sister, Marjorie Patch Henderson of Melbourne; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave. A graveside service will be held at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2005. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, 4200 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, GA. 30022. Carolyn's family wishes to express their gratitude to the many aides and staff members at Sunnybrook Nursing Home for the loving care that they provided for her.
