THOMSON _ Mary Elizabeth Mrs. Mary Thomson of Calgary passed away at the Mayfair Care Centre on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Mary was born at Strathmore, AB in 1921 and was raised in High River. She moved to Calgary in her late twenties and married Jim Thomson in 1955. Mary loved going to the family cottage at Buffalo Lake, where she was able to spend quality time with her family. She was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church for much of her life. She is survived by a daughter Sandy (Rance) Taylor of Bluffton, AB; and a son Ross (Zenith) Thomson of Whitehorse, Yukon; three grandchildren, Scott (Carrie) Taylor of Calgary, Susan (Chris) Taylor of Canmore, and Laara (Dylan) Fox of Cochrane; one great-granddaughter Sofie Frances Ellis Taylor; and a niece Diane McDonald. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jim Thomson; a grandson Michael Taylor; and a brother Jim McDonald. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church Chapel (1009 - 15 Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting www.leydens.com .
