HARDWICK - Mary Theresa Renaud, 79, of Hardwick, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Hardwick, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Helen (Lewis) Sullivan. She graduated from Hardwick Academy. On June 28, 1952, she married Fidelle Camillien "Fido" Renaud at St. Norbert Church in Hardwick. She was employed for a short time by the Hazen school lunch program. Mary was a member of St. Norbert Church in Hardwick. She enjoyed reading. Survivors include her foster son, Peter Holbrook, of Hardwick; three grandchildren; a brother, Richard Sullivan, of Hardwick; four sisters, Helen Jerome, of Greensboro, Marguerite Sullivan and Loretta Sullivan, both of Hardwick, and her twin sister, Madelyn Batchelder, of Middletown, Conn.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Fido, on July 4, 2002, and a brother, William Sullivan. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Northern Vermont Funeral Home, 60 Elm St. in Hardwick. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Norbert Church in Hardwick. Spring burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Hardwick.
