Field, Mary N. WILMINGTON, Mass. Mary N. Field, 69, died September 4, 2007 at Wilmington Health Care Center in Wilmington, Mass. after a long illness. Mary was born in Evanston, Ill. She graduated from high school in Nevada, Iowa and received her B.S. at Iowa State University and M.A. from Cornell University in N.Y. She worked for many years, and retired from, the NY State Division of Youth. She was a resident of the Beltrone Living Center. Mary was an avid and skilled quilter and crafter. She was a valued member of many groups to which she belonged and was known for her gregarious nature. Mary was a longtime member of Q.U.I.L.T.S. in Schenectady, where she served on the board and taught quilting skills to others. She was also a member of the Wings Falls Quilt Guild in Glens Falls, a staff volunteer for NY QUILTS! and a member of a quilting friendship group in Colonie. Mary also volunteered at Bright Horizons, a senior daycare center in Colonie, where she taught craft projects. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Judd and her parents. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Gary VanDoren; nephew, Mark of Andover, Mass.; a niece, Laura Ristau of Brussels, Belgium. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Nevada, Iowa.
