-> Darlington - Mary McDowell Williamson, age 86, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 in a Florence hospital. Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, 3:00 p.m. in Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. Mrs. Williamson was born in Greenville, SC, daughter of the late John L. and Eula Helems McDowell. She was the widow of Ford W. Williamson. She had retired as a nutritionist with Clemson Extension Center and was member of Mont Clare Baptist Church. Mrs. Williamson was the loving mother of six children. Surviving are a son, Walker Williamson of Darlington, SC; five daughters, Eugenia "Jean" (Robert) Callahan of Savannah, GA, Sylvia (Clyde) Lane of Columbia, SC, Judy (Charles) Blackmon of Darlington, SC, Rose (Sidney) Howell of Latta , SC, and Linda W. Murray of Florence, SC; also, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a nephew, John Stevenson. Mrs. Williamson w as preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth McDowell Stevenson.
