HAND Mary Kathryn Hand, 68, passed away at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, Fl. on August 4, 2014, after a long battle with Cancer. Mary K was the loving wife of Jesse Hand for 25 years and is survived by him, and her daughters Rachel Leonard, Amanda Smith and Alicia Barnes, and 3 step children and 13 grandchildren and step grandchildren. Mary K was born in Folkston, Ga. on January 13, 1946 but was raised in Tavares, Fl. Where she lived with her parents Joe and Dorothy Sapp (deceased), and her sisters Ann Marie Campbell (deceased) and survived by the youngest sister Paula Elaine Allen. She attended Tavares High School and graduated from Lake-Sumpter Community College. Mary loved music and was in the Baptist Church choirs in Tavares, Fl., Marietta, Fl. and for the last 25 years at the Orange Park First Baptist Church in Orange Park, Fl. where she also taught Sunday school for many years. She also loved her Florida Gators! Mary K worked as an administrator for Watson Realty for 13 years and was then a Realtor Associate, teamed with Jesse Hand at the Watson Offices in Fleming Island for several years. Their motto was Put Yourself in Competent, Caring Hands. Memorial Services were held at Orange Park First Baptist Church, 1140 Kingsley Ave. Orange Park, Fl. 32073 on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00am.
