Mary Francis Hanlon, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2008. She was born March 24, 1918, was a lifelong resident of Wewahitchka, Fla., and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Hanlon; her parents, Lola G. and Claude F. Hanlon; father, Perry Lewis; a son, Claude (Jack) Hanlon; stepson, Jimmy Hanlon; and sisters, Christine Lewis and Hazel Gaskin. She is survived by seven children, Waymon Hanlon, Gene Hanlon (Betty) and Marie Daniels (Dan) of Wewahitchka, Fla., John Hanlon (Sue) of Port St. Joe, Fla., Ray Hanlon of Tallahassee, Fla., Frances Gable of Altha, Fla., and James Hanlon (Myrna) of South Carolina; one sister, Lola Clem McDaniel of Georgia; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a very special niece, Joan Gramling (Charles) and family of Panama City, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Derick Gerber, the Rev. Jason Lowrey and the Rev. Ben Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow at Jehu Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Stacy Hanlon, John Mitchell Hanlon, Kyle Daniels, Danny Hanlon, Ricky Hanlon, Jerry Huft, Steve Miller and Wes Smith. Asked to serve as honorary pallbearers are Larry Carter, Charles Arthur Gaskin Sr., Harold Rowland, Danny Little, AGAPE Sunday school class, Steve Lucas, Charlie Gramling and Gary Daniels. The family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Betty Hanlon, 445 Chipola Ave., Wewahitchka, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 24, 2008, at Westside Baptist Church and one hour prior to services.
