MARY CARLSWAR D EVERETT Mary Carlsward Everett died February 28, 2007, at the home of her son, Ernest J. Everett, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born March 27, 1908 in Centerville, Iowa, the first of four children born to Herman and Alma Carlsward, both emigrants from Sweden. In 1916, the family moved to Vero Beach, Florida where her sister, Violet, and two brothers, Carl and Alvin, were born. The house built by the Carlswards in the "country" west of the city is still lived in by family members. Mary graduated as Salutatorian from Vero Beach High School and worked for the Jewett Real Estate office and later for many years with the First Federal Savings and Loan in Vero Beach. She married Ernest H. Everett in 1937 and they raised two sons, Edward and Ernest. Her survivors include her son Ernest, three grandchildren, Ann-Marie E. Boffardi, Edward Everett, and Joni Everett, and many loving family members and friends. As Mary and her family were among the Charter Members of the Covenant Church in Vero Beach, a memorial service will be held Monday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at the First Covenant Church. Per Mary's wishes, her family asks that in lieu of flowers any gifts be made to the First Covenant Church, 1955 20th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
