Mary Beth Wise, 58, of Valparaiso, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lamar Wise; her son, Brian James Wise; and her father, Charles William Brautigam. She is survived by her mother, Lila Brautigam of Summerville, S.C.; her mother and father-in-law, James (Billy) and Ouida Wise of Columbus, Ga..; her brother-in-law, Norman Wise (Laura) of Fortson, Ga..; her siblings, Deborah Fisher (Robert) of Niceville, Fla., Roberta Theodozio (William) of Griffith, Ind., Donald Brautigam (Debbie) of Lakewood, Wash., John Brautigam (Johanne) of Summerville, and Charles Brautigam (Angela) of Whittier, Calif. She is also survived by her children, Jasen Wise of Valparaiso, Christopher Wise (Courtney) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gary L. Wise II (Beth) of Niceville; and her granddaughters, Mackenzie and Cameron Wise; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she was an active member, with Pastor Ray Angerman officiating.
