HAMILTON - Mary Alice Henk, 84, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Care One at Hamilton.Born in Bayonne, Mary Alice resided most of her life in the Hamilton area.She was a graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Foods, and Nutrition, attended Temple University, studying Educational Psychology, graduated Seton Hall University with a degree in Education, and a graduate of Trenton State College. Mary Alice was a school teacher for Our Lady of Sorrows School in Mercerville, retiring after many years of service.She was a member of the N.C.E.A., the College of St. Elizabeth Alumni Association, founder and president of the Trenton Chapter – C.S.E., and also served two terms each as secretary and treasurer of the C.S.E., and the C.S.E. Board of Directors Alumni Association.Daughter of the late William Norman and Mary Hill Talbot, wife of the late Albert Henk, she is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Norman and Lynn Henk of Perkasie, Pa., David Henk of Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas and Rachel Henk of Mercerville, and Robert and Letty Henk of Merritt Island, Fla., two daughters and one son-in-law, Suzanne and Steve Hoard of Chesterfield, Va., and Elizabeth Henk of Tampa, Fla., eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Marilyn Talbot of Medford, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.The funeral will be held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton. Visit www.murphyfh.com. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State Street Ext., Mewrcerville. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
