Mary A. (Gilmore) Hamill, age 78, entered into eternal life on April 2, 2011 after a long illness. Mary was born and raised in Quincy, graduated from North Quincy High School, and had lived in Braintree for 47 years. Mrs. Hamill worked for Paine, Webber and Curtis Investments many years ago. She was a daily communicant and a member of the Legion of Mary. Beloved wife for 55 years of Thomas Hamill. Devoted mother of Marianne Spencer of Carver and her husband Paul Bevacqua. Maureen Copeland of Rockland and her husband Steven, and Thomas J. Hamill of Charlestown and his wife Erin. Beloved sister of John B. Gilmore of Quincy and his wife Patricia Loving grandmother to Matthew , Kristen, Steven, Alicia, Patrick, Mara, Grace, Aidan and one on the way. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing on Thursday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
