Martha-Ann Morgan WaldWent to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on March 13, 2013. Martha was born in Macon, GA on December 15, 1928.She grew up in Pembroke GA and attended Georgia College for Women where she received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education. After college she worked as a Teacher in Jacksonville Florida where she met and married on July 14, 1956, John Wald III. She taught for several more years until she wanted to become a fulltime mother and homemaker for her two children.In 1973 she moved to Tallahassee, FL and became an active member of the Tallahassee Newcomers Club, and the Tallahassee Garden Club. She was also active in the local chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Confederacy. Martha loved to cook, entertaining her friends and family, and loved to read. She is survived by her son, Tracy M. Wald and his wife Renee, and her Daughter Vicky Ann Phillips and her husband Jim. She was blessed with six grandchildren Ashley W. Lafferty, Kristina Wald, Katherine Wald, Bambi Wald, Morgan Phillips, and Mitchell Phillips. She was preceded in death by her Husband John Wald III, her sisters, Betty Jean, Juliet, and Brother Julius "Sonny" Morgan. The family would like to thank all the loving nurses and staff at Tallahassee Memory Care for all their care and support in the last year of Martha's life.A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 16, 2013 for the immediate family. Martha's wish was that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the Florida Baptists Children home
