Marjorie Alma Barron November 28, 1912 - January 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by James H Sutton Funeral Home BARRON, Marjorie Elma (Purser) Passed away peacefully at her home with her family and caregiver by her side on Monday January 24, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Frank (1983). Loving mother of. Carol and son-in-law Robert Ferguson. Devoted grandmother to Jennifer and husband George Minovski and to Rob Ferguson. Loving mother of the late Marjorie Joan (1986) and survived by her son-in-law Gord Freeman. Predeceased by two brothers Harold and James Purser and one sister Dorothy Croft. Also survived by three nieces. She was a past member of the Gibson Gallery and the Kingsville Golf and Curling Club and a member of Wesley United Church. Marjorie graduated from Kennedy Collegiate in the first graduating class back in 1932 and was awarded a special plaque in 1999 and 2004 during their reunions. Marjorie enjoyed life to the fullest both in Florida and at home devoting her time to her family, sewing, oil painting, gardening and having great dinner parties. Deep appreciation goes to Kate Beckett, her devoted caregiver who was with Marjorie every day and gave her the quality of life she deserved in her own home where she had lived for over sixty years. Special thanks to Dr. Jones and Dr. Schneider and to all the Hospice team, especially Ann who came to visit Marjorie weekly. Thanks to Dr. O’Callahan and staff, CCAC Naomi Pengally and staff and to St. Elizabeth Home caregivers Sandy, Stephanie, Sandie and especially Debbie for her excellent long talks of reassurance with Marjorie. Thanks to Sherry who also took care of Marjorie. A special thank you to St. Elizabeth nurses especially Carole Mathoney R.N. who always gave Marjorie the best of care and also had a special relationship of laughter and humor with her. All these dedicated people in the nursing field made it possible for Marjorie to stay in her own home. Thank you also to Betty Durham a good friend who visited on a regular basis. Visiting at JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (736-2134) Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home on Friday January 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m.. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to Hospice, St. Elizabeth Health Care, Wesley United Church or to the charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Marjorie in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held Sunday September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
