Marion Olive Johnston, age 92, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Shoals Hospital. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 3, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. at Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery, with Berkely Webb officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia.Mrs. Johnston was a member of First Baptist Church in Tuscumbia.Mrs. Johnston is survived by two daughters, Bobbie McGill and husband, Lewis, and Pat Shoemaker and husband, Bill, both of Tuscumbia; four grandchildren, Valerie Prince of Tuscumbia, Mark McGill of Atlanta, Ga., Suzanne Yarbrough of Tuscumbia and Shannon Carbonie of Birmingham; and two great-grandchildren, Brian Prince and Rebekah Alexander.Pallbearers will be Don Yarbrough, Anthony Carbonie, Mark McGill, Brian Prince, Harold Maples and Tommy Tanner.The family would like to give their thanks to Barbara Martindale of Wellington Place for providing an atmosphere of fun and fellowship for Mrs. Johnston.Memorials may be made to the Helen Keller Library and to the Tennessee Valley Arts Center.Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia is directing.
