SEAR, MARION IRENE - Marion Irene Sear formerly of Penobsquis, NB passed away peacefully on November 18, 2007 with all her children at her side at Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB. Marion was born on February 26, 1920, the daughter of the late John and Nettie (Munroe) Carr. She was predeceased by her husband, Clinton who passed away on June 15, 2005; her brother, Cedric and her sister, Burdella. Marion is survived by sons, Bill of Penobsquis and Rick and his wife, Mary Ellen of Picadilly; by daughters, Patricia and her husband, Wayne Ferris of Sussex and Sharon of Sussex; by her sister, Beatrice Lawrence of Hamilton, Ontario; by eleven grandchildren, Jim, Jennifer, Patrick, Pam, Krista, Michael, Sarah, Nicole, Beau, Georgia, and Laurel; and by one great grandchild, Summer. When living in Penobsquis Marion was active in her church and community. She served many years as treasurer of the United Baptist Church and was a life member of the Women's Institute. Marion was very adept with her hands whether it was with a quilting needle and thimble or a golf club. She was a past ladies club champion at the Sussex Golf Club. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Tuesday 2 - 4, and 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Penobsquis United Baptist Church on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Pioneer Cemetery, Penobsquis. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care provided by the staff at Kiwanis Nursing Home.
