Marie E. Nolan 1923 - 2013 WINDHAM, NH - Marie E. (Loizzo) Nolan, 89, of Windham, NH passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Marie had been living in New Hampshire for the last couple of years but she was born in Springfield, MA and had spent most of her life there. Marie was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Stella (Luvera) Loizzo and was educated in the Springfield schools. For many years, Marie spent her summers on her beloved Cape Cod, where her many long beach-walks often inspired her paintings and poignant poetry. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, James D. Nolan, Jr. on October 29, 2008, and two brothers, Frank Loizzo and Albert Loizzo. Marie was the loving mother of three children, William Nolan of Northampton, MA, Thomas Nolan and his wife Constance of Windham, NH, and Kathleen Nolan-Cote of Florida, and the devoted grandmother of two grandchildren, Alyssa and Andrew Nolan. Also surviving Marie are numerous nieces and nephews. Marie will be very sadly missed. The services and burial took place in Saint Michael's Cemetery in Springfield, MA this past Saturday, January 12th.
