Kentstown, County Meath, Ireland - Maria (Sheridan) Leahy, 60, of Kentstown, died on Jan. 6, 2011, after a brief illness. Maria was the sister of Thomas A. "Tony" Sheridan of Waterford.She was born in Oldcastle, Ireland, the daughter of the late Mona and Charles Sheridan.Maria was retired from Bus Eireann and greatly enjoyed farming and raising cattle with her husband Bertie. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.Maria is survived by her husband, Bertie Leahy; their son, Wayne Leahy and his family in Canada; and their daughter, Sonia (Leahy) Hyland and her family in Ireland. She also leaves her brother, Joseph Sheridan and his family, her sister, Felicity (Sheridan) Reilly and her family, all in Ireland, and her brother, Tony Sheridan and his family in Waterford.Maria was preceded in death by her brothers, Peter, James, Charles, and Padraig.Maria's family and friends will celebrate her life with a Requiem Mass in Kentstown on Monday.
