Avis de décès de Margaret-Isabella Cumming

CUMMING _ Margaret Isabella (nee Rogers) died at Lion's Gate Hospital on February 18 following a long battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband George, "Maggie" is survived by her daughter Cathy (Glen Ross), her sons Brian (Pat) and Hamish (Emiko) and her grandchildren, Alana, Andrew-John, Jessica, Donna, Cowan and Alec as well as by her sister Trish McGeer and her brothers John and Ted Rogers. Maggie worked tirelessly all her life in her community, most recently with the Parks and Rec Commission on Bowen Island where she became a permanent resident in 2001. She had a great affinity for animals and wildlife and was very attached to the community on Bowen Island. In addition to being greatly missed by her family she will be missed by the many birds and squirrels that visited the feeders around her house. A celebration of Maggie's life will be held for family and friends at the Bowen Lodge by the Sea on Sunday, March 5 from 4pm to 6pm. The lodge is located at the CNIB building in Deep Bay a very short walk from the ferry slip. As parking is limited it is requested that those attending walk or be dropped off at the lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
