Visitation is Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m., at Shackelford's in Bolivar. Margaret was born May 21, 1925 and went to be with Jesus on July 22, 2013 after a lengthy illness.Survivors are her husband of 66 years, David Patrick; 3 sons, Joseph Patrick (Linda) of Augusta, GA, Tommy Patrick (Michelle, deceased) of Ludowici, GA and Mike Patrick (Sandra) of Denmark, TN; a daughter, Mary Spellings (Eugene Jr.) of Mercer, TN; 8 grandchildren, David Patrick, Adam Patrick, Nathan Patrick, Jon Spellings, Susan Emmons, Derek Patrick, Andy Spellings and Matthew Spellings; and 7 great-grandchildren.Margaret was an integral member of Maple Springs Baptist Church, where she taught the young adult Sunday School class for 40 years, and was very active in the WMU. She loved music and enjoyed singing in the Maple Springs Quartet, the ladies ensemble and the Maple Springs Church. She also enjoyed singing with the Golden Sounds Choir at First Baptist Church in Bolivar. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and beadwork. She was a vital part of the community and was very active in the Extension Homemakers of Mercer, receiving perfect attendance awards for many years. Margaret Elizabeth Patrick was an angel on this earth, sharing love with all she met. Our lives have been blessed by her presence, but now she is wearing her crown in Heaven with Jesus.
