FURLONG, MARGARET EDWARDS, 95, of Louisville, passed away September 20, 2012 with her loving family at her side. Born August 25, 1917, she was baptized and confirmed member of Third Lutheran Church and member of the Ladies Circle at St. John Lutheran Church. She was gifted in expressing her feelings in words and in writing and lived her Devotion to family especially espousing families being close and being there for one another. Margaret leaves many memories for her children the importance of Family. She was active in her younger years as president of the PTA and many activities involving her children. She was a bookkeeper for Bycks Ladies Apparel in St. Matthews and served many years as head office manager for Commonwealth Insurance Co. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a sister to her siblings. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert James Furlong, Sr. Survived by her children, Robert James Furlong, Jr. (Barbara), Sherry Furlong Wilson (Art), and Janey Furlong Stocker (Bob); grandchildren, Kelly Glines, Amy Furlong, Cam Wilson, Robert Furlong III, Susan Staples, Dana Owens and Brian Stocker; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation was held Sunday at Pearson's.
