<!-- FH = Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest -->Madie Kathleen NorrisGreenvilleMadie Kathleen Norris, beloved mother, 92, of Greenville, died September 15, 2011.Born in Harnett County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Willis Bryant and Harriet Bass, and wife of the late Lee Howard Norris.Mrs. Norris retired from Ryder Systems and was a member of Woodside Baptist Church. She was instrumental in the founding of the Westside Crisis Center.Madie is survived by four daughters, Judy Herington of Virginia Beach, VA, Harriet Douglas (Newbern) of New London, NC, Hazel Hall (Nathan) of Fayetteville, NC, and Jennifer Norris of Simpsonville, SC; six grandchildren, John Keith Hurson, Seneca Herington, Stephen Hall, Suzanne Williams, Eddie Barefoot, and Aaron Barefoot; seven great grandchildren; and her caregiver and special friend, Dawn Henkel-Kiepert.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Harvey M. Bass.The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m.Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.Memorials may be made to Woodside Baptist Church or to the Westside Crisis Center, both located at 301 Woodside Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611.Condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.thomasmcafee.com.
