BEDFORD - Lou "Marion" Ott, 82, died Dec. 15, 2013. She was born in New York City on March 14, 1931. She graduated from Brockport, N.Y., High School and was a 1952 graduate of Kueka College, with a degree in journalism. Lou was a longtime member and historian for the Bedford Presbyterian Church. She was an avid writer and gardener and a member of the Bedford Garden Club, as well as the Bedford Historical Society. Lou loved hiking, biking, walking and swimming and attended YMCA water aerobics classes. She was survived by her husband of 61 years, Diehl Ott also of Bedford, her children, Craig Ott and wife, Marie, of Bow, Karen Newmann and husband Peter, of Exton, Pa., Linda Hunt and husband Doug, of Cary, N.C., and Amy Walker and husband Martin, of Potsdam, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Klafehn and husband Karl, of Hamlin, N.Y. Lou was predeceased by a brother, Ted Hays. . SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, in Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester. A memorial celebration will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, in Bedford Presbyterian Church, 4 Church Road, Bedford, 03110.
