WATT _ Linda Jane. It is with great sadness we announce the passing on December 5th, 2006, of Linda Jane Watt (nee Hutchinson) at age 63, after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda is survived by her loving family, husband Jim; sons Colin (Julie) and Gordon; granddaughter Sadie; brother Bill; sister Gwen; nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan on May 19, 1943, the third child of the late Walter Edmund Hutchinson and wife Genevieve Mabel (nee Trotter), and as the daughter of an RCMP officer, Linda moved frequently within Saskatchewan. Stops included Yorkton, Melville, Humboldt, Prince Albert and Regina. A graduate of the University of Manitoba in Home Economics, Linda subsequently taught in Craven, Saskatchewan, before moving to the Vancouver area and getting married. Linda and Jim have been residents of Port Moody since 1971 and of the Glenayre subdivision since 1973, where her family was raised and friendships established which crossed generations. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 11th at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation in the memory of Linda would be greatly appreciated.
