SAUNDERS, Lettie Ruth Lettie passed away peacefully on February 21, 2004 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, at 88 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1973, and daughter Wanda in 1967. She is survived by sons Neville (Rosemarie), British Columbia, Stephen (Sue), Manitoba, Robert, British Columbia, Patty Saunders of Windsor, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends. Lettie was born in Woodslee, ON and grew up there, and after formal schooling, she became a telephone operator. In 1936 she married Arthur Saunders and moved to Windsor. Lettie was a warm and kind hearted lady who volunteered her time at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre as well as the Canadian Cancer Society for 25 years. By request no flowers please; if you wish donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Visitation on Thursday, February 26, 2004, at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home 68 Giles Blvd. E. from noon until time for the celebration of Letti's life at 1 pm. Interment will take place at the Woodslee United Church Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Lettie Saunders in the Morris Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 26, 2004. All are welcome.
