Avis de décès de Leslie Williamson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie (Les) Williamson on Thursday, February 2, 2012 with family by his side at the age of 95. Les is predeceased by brother Rab and much loved Vicki and Bambi. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; daughter, Elaine (George) and much loved granddaughter Michelle and nephew Roy. Les was born in England and immigrated to Canada when he was six years old with his parents and brother. A true believer in exercise, Les swam three times a week, curled most of his life and won, along with his team, the club championship twice. He enjoyed his garden, growing beautiful dahlias, as well as camping fishing and travelling. Les was a fabulous dancer who loved big band music at McMorrans in Victoria and had many good times at the Italian Hall with friends. Les and Marg would have celebrated their 70th wedding Anniversary this year. He lived a happy and healthy life."A life well lived and a heart much loved."A private family service will be held in the near future.In lieu of flowers, donations in Les' memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 255, Port Alberni, BC., V9Y 7M7 or the SPCA, 4936 Broughton St., Port Alberni, BC., V9Y 7L9. The family would like to thank Dr. John Meyer and the nurses and staff at Echo Village for their loving care of Les.
