ST. JACQUES, Léo The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, after a courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the age of 69 years. Son of the late Maria St. Jacques, predeceased in 1984 and by his stepfather, Arthur Berton. Beloved husband and friend of 47 years of Laurence "Laurie" St. Jacques (née Lalonde) of Chelmsford. Proud and Loving Dad of Guy (Linda) of Azilda. Survived by his step-sister, Laurette Courneyea (Vern) of Gananoque. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Gerry (Yvonne), Maurice (Leonie), Bette Hayward (Fred) and Alice Grant (Hubert). Dear Step-grandfather of Tina Gagnon (Jean-Luc) of Azilda and Jerry Vincent (Sasha) of Guelph. Dear step-great-grandfather Mystelle, Kyle, Danika, Andrea, Moriah, and Justin. Sadly missed by his in-laws, Edna and Louis Brosseau, many nieces, nephews and friends. Léo was a retired Diamond Drill and Raise Bore Foreman with Inco and Smith and Travers. He had 42 years service, having worked in every mine around Sudbury. A kind, fair and generous man, he was well liked by his co-workers and all who knew him. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, RR 15, Chelmsford, Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 4, 2004 at (time to be confirmed) in the Chapel of the Co-Operative Funeral Home, Chelmsford. Donations to the Sudbury Laryngectomy Club or to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated. "Whither Thou Goest - I will Go"
