JOANISSE LAFONTAINE, Laure 1909-2000 A dynasty has come to an end. Laure was the sole survivor of the Lafontaine/Joanisse families. The Master has reclaimed her and now the torch has to be passed on. The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Golden Manor on June 8, 2000. She was predeceased by here husband Ernest (April 1990), her parents Adelard and Agnes Lafontaine, her sisters DÄlisea Chartrand, Olivina Duchesne, Rose Pilon, Anita Larche, Dora Brazeau and by her brothers Henri and Josaphat. Beloved mother of Jean (Jacqueline), Gisèle Tadeus (Herbert), Ernest (Butch) all of Timmins and Cécile Vogrinetz (Adolf) of Tagish, Yukon. Cherished Memère of Robert Joanisse (Becky) of Wawa, Annette Badour (Rodney) of Timmins, Marc Joanisse (Kathy) of Timmins, Walter Tadeus (Mervi) of South Porcupine, Heidi Tadeus (fiancé Paul Lamothe) of Timmins, John Vogrinetz (Sharon) of Lamont, Alberta, Karl Vogrinetz (Pam) of Kelowna, B.C. Treasured great-grandmother of Chantal, Jean and Natalie Joanisse all of Wawa, Michael and Alison Badour of Timmins, Nicholas, Mathew and Kevin Tadeus of South Porcupine, A.J. and Jennifer Vogrinetz of Alberta and Riley, Jared, Kyle, Lucas and Mitchell Vogrinetz of B.C. She will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbours. Laure was a member of Les Dames de Ste-Anne, Les ApÖtres de SacrÄ Coeur, Les foyers intronisants, le Mouvement Cursillo and le renouveau charismatique. Laure will best be remembered for her zest for life, her joy of singing, her talent at cooking and baking. The great loves of her life were her Church, her home and her children...not necessarily in that order. A funeral mass to commemorate her life will be held on Monday, June 12, 2000 at 12:00 noon at St. Antoine de Padoure Cathedral. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Donations in memory of Laure Joanisse may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. (The Daily Press)
