LINDA LOUISE HAWKINS Born May 13, 1949 at St. Joseph''s Hospital in Toronto. Longtime resident of Richmond Hill, Ontario, died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Mackenzie Health Hospital in Richmond Hill, after a short battle with cancer. Linda retired from John Knox Pumping Service after several years of service. Prior to that, Linda worked in the banking industry for many years after leaving high school, mostly for the TD Bank. She is survived by her beloved brother Allan Hawkins and dear sister- in-law Nadia Hawkins. Linda will be sadly missed by her first cousin Susan (Hawkins) Schnier who resides in New Brunswick, Canada and will be greatly missed by Brenda Salmon of Richmond Hill, whereby Saturday morning shopping adventures will never be the same. Special mention of her cousin Kirk Briscoe, who has been a best friend and helper to Linda in her transition from moving into an apartment, where she happily embraced her new environment. Linda is resting at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME (10366 Yonge Street) in Richmond Hill. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. Service will take place on Monday, June 5th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment at York Cemetery.
