Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors -->KENNETH LEESANFORDHENDERSONVILLE - Kenneth Lee Sanford, 60, of Hendersonville, entered into Heaven to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.Mr. Sanford was born October 27, 1952 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Leroy and Sadie Hudgins Sanford. Following graduation from Dorman High School, he enrolled and graduated from Gateway College of Evangelism in St. Louis, MS. This began a lifelong ministry of Evangelism. For more than 25 years he served the Lord thru evangelism, children's ministries, and pastor of Living Waters Tabernacle in Startex, SC and Full Gospel Holiness Church in Canton, NC. Most recently, as his health declined, he attended Asheville United Christian Church.He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Bridges Sanford' a brother, Don Sanford and his wife, Caroline, of Pataskala, OH; three sisters, Joann Parris and husband, Keith, Brenda Gilstrap and husband, Dale, and Judy Sanford, all of Spartanburg, SC. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.His Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Monday at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel, conducted by Rev. Larry Nix and Rev Keith Nix. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
