WHALEN Kenneth L., 25, of Wantage, died suddenly at home on Saturday June 12, 2010. Born in Englewood, NJ he is the son of Cathy Gauli and Kenneth Whalen. A lifelong resident of Wantage he has been employed for the past few years by St. Clare's Hospital as a paramedic supervisor. Prior to becoming a paramedic he was employed by St. Clare's as an Emergency Room Technician. He also worked as a lead counselor and duty paramedic at the Hope with Heart Camp in Warwick, NY.He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents William and Mary Whalen and his maternal grandfather Jack Simonton, Sr. along with his uncles Bob Whalen and Jack Simonton, Jr. He is survived by his mother Cathy Gauli and her husband Larry of Wantage, his father Kenneth T. Whalen and his wife Donna of Hillsdale, NJ, brothers Thomas Whalen of Wantage and William Whalen of Shreveport, Louisiana, his maternal grandmother Cathryn Simonton of Oxford, FL, his aunts Joanna Simonton of Oxford, FL, Marilyn Walsh of Boonton, NJ and Lori Whalen of Kentucky, along with several cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial visitation on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Sussex Boro Fire Department 25 Loomis Avenue Sussex, NJ.
