Katherine M. Chapman, 97, Springfield passed away Tuesday night in Mercy Villa. She was born December 11, 1910, in Springfield, Mo., to Edward and Caroline Krischel. She is survived by her son, Gary Chapman and his wife, Carolyn; her grandchildren, Doug and Cathy Chapman; her great-grandchildren, Kacey and Lilly Chapman; and her sister, Helen Johnston. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008, in Mercy Villa with Fr. Mike McDevitt celebrant. Burial will be in the Springfield National Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kitchen, 1630 N. Jefferson Springfield, MO 65803.
