Kaitlyn Patricia Mackey April 13, 1998 - October 06, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) MACKEY, Kaitlyn Patricia – 6, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in her Mommy and Daddy’s arms on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in IWK Health Center. Born April 13, 1998, in Moncton, Kaitlyn “Girly Girl” was the precious daughter of Scott and Tammy (Calen) Mackey, Dartmouth. Kaitlyn was a grade one student at Joseph Giles Elementary School. Kaitlyn was a member of the Cole Harbour Sparks and enjoyed ballet, swimming and listening to her music. She loved coloring, reading books and playing with her brother and friends. Besides Mommy and Daddy, Kaitlyn is survived by her brother, Cory; grandparents, Patricia Bowers, Carol Langille “Nana Carol”, both of Dartmouth; Allan Calnen (Linda Sanford “Big Momma”), Halifax; Don and Elaine Mackey, Dartmouth; great-grandparents, Melville and Beatrice Mackey, Ontario; Gerry Allan, Halifax; special aunts and uncles, Brent and Natasha Mackey, Ron Mackey (Aleitha Daniels), Shawn and Sheila MacGillivray; special cousins, Kyle, Kurtis, Elysia, Garrett, Autumn, Jade, Tatum, Connor, Holly, Joshua; her special boyfriend, Connor Boyd; all her great-aunts, uncles and many friends. She was pre-deceased by her great-grandparents, Edith and Lionel Bowers, Sabine and Albert Calnen, Sinclair and Rachel Allan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 320 Flying Cloud Dr., Father Patrick Cosgrove officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Center. Family flowers only.
