OWENS, Junior Edward, 71, of Port Richey, died Monday, November 21, 2005, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson. He was born in Keno, Ky., and moved to Florida 16 years ago from Marian, Ind. He was a pipe fitter for RCA Radio and Television, a U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of the American Legion, a life member of AMVETS, secretary, treasurer and negotiator for IEBU Union, and former owner of Hollys Hutch. He is survived by his wife, Janet of Port Richey; mother, Zula Owens of Port Richey; sons, Jim Owens of Marian, Ind., Marc of Tampa, Brett of Port Richey and Jason of Tampa; daughters, Jalinda Simmons of Upland, Ind., and Tammy Higgenbothan of Tampa; brother, Lowell Owens of Tampa; sisters, Christine Beulah Miller of Port Richey, Betty Kelley of New Port Richey and Debbie Ortmann of Lakeland; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burial will take place in Florida National Cemetery. Prevatt Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.
