Judith S. (Toomey) 72, passed away suddenly on September 9, 2006. A native of Elmira, NY, she also lived in Boxford, MA for 31 years, where she was a school committee member and Chairman of the Masconomet Regional High School Parent Advisory Committee. She was active in community affairs and dedicated to the welfare of children. She was the daughter of the late Dr. J. Bernard and Marjorie (Shaffer) Toomey. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard T. Lawrence of Saugus, MA; four cherished daughters, Pamela S. Lawrence and Thomas Flaherty of Wakefield, MA, Cynthia M. Lawrence of New York City, Deborah A. Wolf and her husband, Joseph Wolf of Beaverton, OR, and Martha J. Lawrence of San Francisco, CA; six grandchildren, Randyll Collum, Christian Collum, Mary Kate Flaherty, Shannon Flaherty, Jared Wolf and Luke Wolf. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Mayor of Medford, MA, Walter E. Lawrence. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Helen Lawrence of Wakefield, MA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles Lawrence and Joanne Lawrence of Scituate, MA; sister-in-law, Bette Ann Lawrence of Durham, NC; nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mrs. Lawrence will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 124 River Road, Topsfield, MA.
